dont agree with this one. with your very first point you talked about talented local players warming the bench and not given oppurtunities, do you think this will help them?
2 reasons for this:

1) A few years back, IPL was the premier league, followed by PSL with its unique quality of fast bowling and quality matches - that seems very far from the truth now.

This year, the domestic T20 league was so mediocre, and the quality was pathetic (I believe there were 16 teams). I want to bring a higher quality of cricket back, make it much more competitive, and bring top talent. I want our talent to be playing against the best and bring in better and tighter games.

(e.g. Umar Siddiq, Imran Butt were 2nd and 3rd higher run getter, and likewise Muhammad Ismail and Nisar Ahmed (who got 11 wicket at an econ of 5.6 across 7 games) haven't even played/been selected)

2) I feel like, from a bonanza perspective, it is needed. The ILT20 is currently touted as being one of the top leagues, We have the Saudis ready to create their own league - we need to innovate and make ours better (at least to get full houses at home). IPL measures each player's height to get accurate no-ball calls, it has better wide detection, and it has impact sub (not something I like) - but clearly it is working in making the IPL a better product. We need to make the PSL better aswell.

I don't believe PSL was ever second to IPL, source? I feel BBL was second to IPL for a while, now maybe not so much anymore.

Islamabad really said :up::up::up::up::down::down::down::down: overconfidence killed them :facepalm constantly making changes and trying things out instead of sticking with the formula that worked. We got away with that in the first few games but now it's game 9 and not many players are in settled roles, especially the emerging player(s)

Changes the team dynamics here- these last minute replacements. Good for cricket- gives an air of unpredictability.

Rajapaksa losing the final for LQ, Faheem's overs were supposed to be the easy targets and he gave up 5 dots in a row to him

No words for Sikandar Raza — he flew in from England and led his team to the championship!

Or maybe it's just a sign of Pakistan cricket's current predicament that an outcast, forced to play for an associate is hailed as a hero.
He moved to Zimbabwe as a kid, so it’s not an Imran Tahir-like case where he left cause he wasn’t getting picked.
Plus they aren’t an associate

Sikander Raza is not some mercurial talent.

Yes, his decision to show up 10 mins before toss from England is commendable. But no, it doesn't make him an 'insane' player.

Especially after playing for a franchise who can only really put up a fight after recruiting foreign mercenaries.

Sikandar Raza got off the plane with little warmup and had a good match, delivered in a pressure situation, and he's rightly being praised for it. What do you think it implies about Pakistan cricket?

I'd put it down to Raza's commitment to the game, nothing more than that. Individual players have the right to play the game the want. Commendable,no doubt -brings back memories of when Shane Watson played that blitzkrieg in one of the IPL finals with a bloody knee.
