Were The bolwers in the 70s and 80s really faster than mordern bolwers

Not only did they bowl fast, they did that consistently. Today's bowlers' say its due to variation but they cannot consistently bowl fast for a period. Brett Lee's doing good, especially after his long break from cricket. The older generation were fast and hostile and highly accurate.

South Indian Cricketers are the smartest and the cleverest !

right...pretty useless thread to start anyway. Smartest and cleverest really have no meaning today,i mean you cannot compare people. everyone is smart, clever and stupid.

    India's Worst Captain till date

Yep..haven't been regular on PC for over a year now...busy with research and school. How are you doing? Regarding Tendulkar, If he isn't up for it, no point in giving it to him...Anyway, we'll know the name in couple of weeks.

Article - Best Indian XI to take on Pakistan

nice article, but like someone said, we don't have a player who can come at 12/3 and build the innings. Dhoni definitely cannot, Uthappa hasn't showed that, Yuvraj ...may be, and Gambhir hasn't proven anything yet. Only Tendulkar and to some extent, Ganguly, can build that innings under that...

    India's Worst Captain till date

Sachin is not a bad captain. When he was given the responibility, he was the best batsman in the world, at his very best and pressure took on him. The most negative captain we've had was Sunil Gavaskar, whose intentions were to draw the match..more than anything else. Sachin tried to...

    Last decade's 11 greatest players

You gotta have Ambrose or Walsh or both. I'd go for Ambrose and Lara from WI. Tendulkar and Kumble from India. Waqar and Wasim from Pakistan. Warne, S.Waugh and McGrath from Australia. Thats 9. Add Murali, Pollock and Donald, that will make it 12.

Tendulkar set to be Test captain

you look too much into history, sai. Whoever gets it, i'm just going to watch for entertainment...for that sometime to kill. Don't hink Dhoni will get it.

    Dhoni cuts hair!

    India in England/Ireland/Scotland

lol go slow the 10 overs, and then build on the momentum. They've played well last time, England. RPS bowling good here, good pace.

Its not good to write anyone off. RP Singh was good last time, 40 odd runs of his 10 overs. He and MP will be important with the newer ball, i'd say Chawla and Powar are the keys.

    India in England/Ireland/Scotland

not really, yea, boundaries will come their way. 300 is always a good score, no matter what ground you're playing in. I would say Chawla and Powar can be handy, though an error in length can see the ball into the stands.

nice stats there Eddie, after the first ODI debacle, India getting into track. Another 300 and another 100 for tendulkar in sight.

few people were baffled by Dravid's decision. His monumental 96 ball effort was even better, in a different way. He was just a bit too over-cautious.
