Lahore Qalandars' big guns were contained brilliantly by Islamabad United's pace-machine. Jasprit Bumrah dismissed KL Rahul and Trent Boult dismissed Kane Williamson.
United's bowlers were on top of Qalandars for the most part, Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult in particular. Saud Shakeel batted superbly and remained unbeaten with 70.

Comfortable, comfortable victory for Islamabad United. This win has shot them straight to second place in Haier Cup Pakistan VI standings, after two back-to-back losses.
Jonny Bairstow and Aaron Finch gave United a solid start, adding 68 runs in less than 7.0 overs. Mitchell Starc broke the partnership by dismissing his fellow countryman.
Islamabad United recovered quickly and added another 73 runs for the second wicket. Babar Azam played an attacking knock, only to miss his fifty by just two runs.
Rohail Nazir was dismissed for a duck but Islamabad United did not let these two wickets be the start of a collapse, and got home by a comprehensive margin of 7 wickets.
