Yeah, this one is expected to be quite closer than Challenge League A.

watching Oman vs Netherlands on icc.tv, these commentators are not very good

Don't know what is up with the Oman lineup here. Only 4 of the 11 players have a double-digit number of ODI caps.

List of players NOT playing, meanwhile:

Zeeshan Maqsood
Aqib Ilyas
Bilal Khan
Kaleemullah
Ayaan Khan
Kashyap Prajapati
Shoaib Khan
Fayyaz Butt

All of these players are regulars and played an important role in Oman's second-placed finish last WCL2. Board politics resulted in an overhaul perhaps?

Was gonna suggest maybe they're too old but Aamir Kaleem is playing. :lol

They did well enough tbf!

Well at least it's playing dividends for them so far. Trapping the opposition in spinning wickets aka "a Pakistan vs England". Was always going to be difficult for a European associate team like the Dutch. But also, the comms mentioned that UAE team nowadays struggle against spin.

Also currently for Italy, the coach (Gareth Berg) and the captain is different (Marcus Campopiano), and both are in the same playing XI. Has this ever occurred in any other sport so far?

Well, it isn't the first time it's happened in cricket, Shane Deitz has played List A games for Vanuatu with Andrew Mansale as captain

Scott Edwards has just made his 20th fifty in international cricket, yet he still has no centuries — I guess that kinda makes him like the Dickwella of limited overs cricket

I seriously dunno why these guys are not playing

But again suddenly there is Aamir Kaleem who is already 40 from the old 2016 Oman team

Its very weird I saw this in the Asian Emerging Teams cup itself

Might be some disciplinary issues.

They've also given the Omani citizen (Sufyan Mehmood) a full go in the T20I series.
