Actually, this was on a 27" screen. I've tried with movies on a 50" screen and a 120" wall projector and results were similar.
Some people can tell between 720p and 1080p and 30fps and 60fps. But the majority seems to not be able to tell.
It also depends on the source material. I've seen...
There was a time I used to assemble my own PC and spend hours tweaking it and customizing it and worry about the Arctic silver paste I applied to the CPU heat sink and check and measure temps etc.
Now, with 2 kids, I don't have the time nor as much interest in doing that. Maybe I will...
Great. However, you cannot preorder it.... I would preorder this as soon as I see it available...
Don't want to keep gaming in the basement with the PS3 (as is Dark Souls terrifies me so I like to game on my gaming laptop in bed next to my wife and scream and wake her up. Lol)
This is a good topic. I liked the developers original response - it was candid and informative.
I also liked the part where he isn't overhyping the game or the physics engine he's built and accepting that his game has bugs and patches may hopefully correct it.
No, they don't have a true custom field setting wherein you can save your custom field settings and just recall them in any match instead of constantly moving fielders around. That is a very poor implementation of custom field settings because it keeps wasting lots of time.
More fixes -
- make it possible to hit front foot flicks to mid wicket
- make it possible to have leg glances properly without it being a super tough narrow angle
Both of these are very common shots in cricket but very rare and tough in DBC14
The field editor is very basic tbh and could use improvements because almost all the prior games had simple controls for field settings but they all also had "custom" field settings.
I think they can easily add Custom field settings, say 10 of them and you can pre-set them and choose from...

Description : Batsman sweeps ball and you can hear edge and keeper takes it. I appeal, umpire gives out. AI Batsman challenges and replays shows the audio meter (which clearly shows the audio spike)...
How do you see the maidens a bowler has bowled? None of the scorecards have it?
Also, how do you flick a ball to midwicket on front foot? It usually goes to mid on or square leg. Hittting to mid wicket seems quite impossible on front foot.
I think paying $10 more for niche game that only a few thousand Will buy is fair. $10 more isn't major financial impact as you're making it appear.
People who are not interested in cricket won't buy it at all.
Heck, other obscure games like Deer Hunter sell more copies by a factor of at least...
AI is "artificial" anyways. Today, AI hasn't evolved in 90% of the games to replace humans.
Pick any game - say Deus Ex:HR. Highly rated game. You play on hard difficulty and you get noticed by a patrolling guard and you kill him. But you get detected by another guard and they all panic and...
Yes, But I was surprised because I was playing shots naturally and connecting.
You may be surprised too because the thumbs will move quick as they've nowhere else to go but flick the sticks.
You still have to feel the pace (fast vs spin) but I am playing pacers and spinners easier now...
Some more videos
And very unusual running by AI - maybe showing that the running between wickets isn't an assured/scripted thing? It appears that both batsmen have independent worker threads calculating randomly their running? In past games, AI would just run as a unit...
Unfortunately...
Last night while playing the game, I just had an epiphany which has now helped me play the game much better.
Here's what helped me and might help you too: don't touch the sticks before the ball is bowled but just hover the thumbs above the sticks.
As the ball approaches, just instinctively...
That is not true. The control scheme did evolve from the arrow keys and fixed shots to the analog stick direction one. Other companies are just as good if not better than BigAnt. Why would they not take a chance? That is how all games everywhere keep evolving...
Similar to baseball games where...
Yeah, this is one thing I liked from IC2010. It had the option to do soft or hard shots and with the circle shot selector I could place it where I wanted mostly.
The game had its problems but that feature here of being able to soft hit or hard hit shots would be awesome.
IC2010 should've...
