    Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Bowling, hard difficulty, all default sliders, green, medium pitch, test match. Of course I can try hardest, but that still means five runouts before tea on the first day, and Moeen Ali taking three times more wickets than the seamers combined. I'd say this is as poor as a Big Ant game has...

    Cricket 24 - General Discussion

It's annoying. With that ill fated Ashes Cricket 2013 and some EA games you can just bin them immediately. With Big Ant they tease, like here is a nearly good game. We will fix a couple of things, add some polish. Oh we destroyed it! But we will give you a load new licenses in two years...

    Cricket 24 - General Discussion

I'm getting so many run outs now with the rollout patch where the batsmen just stands there after playing a shot and doesn't ground his bat in. If this match carries on I'm going to post an innings where every single batsman is run out. I've had four out of four so far. Do they even test...

If I reinstall C24 and turn auto updates off, will I get back to an earlier version where I don't run the batsmen out every couple of overs? The very first release build was okay.

Haha "all things considered" it's not bad. Is that an admission of something?

Seven wickets in a row. All run outs. And that will be enough Cricket 24 for a little while. Or is there a way to roll back to a previous build on C24? Or even the original first release build? This game has been nuked. Nine runouts now in a row.

Yep ive had three wickets now, all run outs. Its the absolute inability to get even the basics nailed down.

I do a lot of AI vs AI because I like to leave it on and glance at it while I work. I have been reliably informed that the output for AI vs AI has nothing to do with what you see when you play the game. After all the game was designed to be played. However I see all the same issues. The OP...

So it takes them an age to get the game playable, and then we are only allowed to use it for a finite time...

Does this mean that, say this turns into a decent game, when they turn off the servers in future we won't be able to play at all? I was playing BLIC 2005 until a few years ago.

I was just about to change my negative review to positive too! Now I can't get into the game. So that can wait. Paid money for every iteration and get taken for a pirate with this always online stuff. Never a fan of being treated like this.

Once. It's a lot better than it used to be when it was like every couple of overs. 1699032868 Batsmen not running their bat in properly is an obvious cause of some of the runouts which I guess people know already.

@Wealey had another flamingo flick caugh at fine leg, Marco Jansen, who is aggressive. (apparently. He was on 62 off 148).

The perks didnt really make much difference to how AI behaves. Much like the mentalities dont now. I seem to be the only one annoyed by this and banging the drum. Everyone seems happy with a team of Joe Roots meandering along at 3.5 per over in tests. Fine for many players but not all.

Just had a Foakes legside stumping with the batsman overbalancing forward after a leg glance. Really cool. Still feel spinners are a bit OP though.

    Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Now that spin seems to be a bit lighter, we can go back to my other constant moan, mentalities. When bowling at the AI, has anyone seen any difference between aggressive players and conservative players? I'm not even noticing any different in shots, let alone strike rates. Ben Foakes, plodding...

    Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Yes agreed. It's like they solve something by turning it on or off. I haven't had a bat pad in about 200 overs after getting one every two overs in the last build. Test cricket is all about balance and nuance and I don't think they quite get it. Or maybe they do, but are unable to make it...

I'd say yes. If you restart the game after every runout. That is the one major gamebreaking thing left in my opinion.

Not sure yet. I have only played on green medium. What have you noticed? I still got a 5 for on a green top with Lyon, but he did go for 50 and they could actually hit the ball. Agar 1-30
