Wahab was still a genuine bowler so one can understand but India with an arsenal of such potent young seamers still use them defensively. Its easier for India to pick atleast 5 genuine bowlers and still have a very strong batting line.

Good decision by Virat to bowl first although its the popular choice for all captains. I am not too keen of using Bumrah as a new ball bowler, Shami would have been better but even in this team I think India can try Pandya specially in such conditions.

Excellent captaincy by Sarfraz so far in this match except few mistakes towards 8-12th overs. Now he should also keep in mind that England will come hard in last 10 overs so he should keep all his options open.

This lineup is going to get alot of beating by England. There are no spinners in this team and Faheem and Imad will go for plenty. Shadab and Hafeez as a genuine spinners are must against England since spin is the only chance for Pakistan to somehow strangle England.

Hafeez issue is much more complex due to his bowling and unless we find someone who can bowl some off-spin and is a good batsman, we are not going to drop Hafeez. Azhar Ali is probably playing his last few ODIs and the rest of the team will remain same so don't expect some revolutionary changes...

Azhar probably is the worst ODI player ever, I haven't seen any top order batsman playing like him. Its only Pakistan that he is still playing otherwise I don't think even teams like UAE will like to have him in ODIs.

Atleast 50 extra runs given by Pakistan but in defense of Sarfraz, he had to switch Amir and Junaid since Fahim and Hassan are poor death bowlers.

Hence proved Sarfraz is a very inexperienced captain. If the ball is seaming in 34th over it means it would have been more seaming in 15th over, where I feel he should have reintroduced Amir and Junaid. Only the time will tell that how crucial was that 4th wicket partnership.

Looks like Sarfraz is not groomed properly and this idea of not allowing seniors to give suggestions is very bad. He looks little timid to me, trying to save runs rather then going for the kill when they were 3 down.

Shadab should have played in this match. He is not a usual leg-spinner, which I guess Mickey is not understanding. We are making the same selection mistakes that we did against India.

If England can push Moeen Ali down the order then we can too. Its just that we don't have guts to do something like this.
