The dropped catch problem is in all formats. You can drop it on ball 1 of the over and get a chance each ball until you take it.

The AI can find gaps really easily sometimes though. Seems like the risk v reward is low for them at times. I had one over conceding 24, when they were running about 6.5 an over. They could just find whatever gap they wanted whatever the delivery. Felt a bit rubber banding.

Um you can change the stumps and ball. Although I found it impossible to do a 3 match ODI and use my custom ODI without it starting in January. So frustrating you cannot just change it at the match settings screen.

You will have to setup a match type to start off with. I setup an English test match type with a Duke Ball and LV stumps. Then when you create the tournament you can then select your new match type.

I’m thinking more and more that catering for the Xbox One/PS4 gen held this game back. Problem was obviously availability of the new gens. I suspect the next one solely be Series X/S & PS5. This may just unlock something a bit different.

I had such bad wicket scripting yesterday as England v New Zealand. Twice in a row the AI edge to 2nd slip, no mini game and dropped. Third ball, edged, mini game to Foakes. Don’t really feel the merit of the wicket when it’s just pre determined.

Cancel out the game and restart. Then just hope..
