The variations exist for the AI to use. Each field setting is mapped to bowling tactics that can be used with the field setting. 5-6 settings would make the AI dumb. Of course, a better AI would change the field on the fly instead of depending on presets.

    AC09 BIG Editor v1.0

Sound has been supported since the first version of this editor. It lets you play in-game sounds and replace them with mp3 files. This editor exposes the file system of the game. You have AI, sound, textures, models, menus, etc in there. Until now people have only modified textures(kits...

11/05 - New gameplay video for IC 2010 Now Out

The video hardly reveals any improvements made in the game. It would be better if they had shown a batsman playing a few deliveries.

Which version of sam's exe is it? Did you try the trick without sam's exe? If it doesn't work on the original exe, it won't with sams exe either.

Is Harsha Bhogle doing some stuff online for T20?

I don't know about that. Ravi shastri can set the cat amongs the pidgeons when he starts firing all cylinders in pressure cooker situations. At the end of the day, I'd prefer a tracer bullet to the head over his commentary. A replacement would be just what the doctor ordered for the viewers...

    Speed Issue

Does your laptop have a dual core CPU? It could be an issue. Games designed with single core CPU's in mind can run too fast/slow on dual core CPU's. If you have a dual core CPU, you could try this - Alt-Tab out of the game and start the Task Manager(CTRL+ALT+DEL). Under the Processes tab, right...

PC version - Codies Reply to my mail

I'm sure Zapak will fund new projects and use Codemasters' development capabilities to develop India centric games. I was questioning the connection that Hitterman seems to have established between PC gaming and Zapak. Not releasing the PC version, was purely a finiancial decision. Zapak could...

PC version - Codies Reply to my mail

How does that make sense? They only develop mobile and browser based games. They aren't backers of PC gaming or anything like that. The CEO of Zapak himself noted that India does not have game development capability for PC and consoles, which is why they acquired a stake in Codemasters. I don't...

    AC09 BIG Editor v1.0

I haven't completely figured out the model format. The 3D model won't be viewable in the next version, but there is good chance it will be in the future.

    AC09 BIG Editor v1.0

Piracy has nothing to do with the BIG Editor. Users of pirated copies won't receive help because PlanetCricket does not support piracy. Can we please move on? Will post when I have one. Not a lot is getting done at the moment.

If it worked that way, your PC wouldn't be a PC! PS3 and Xbox 360 are closed platforms. They control your access to it via firmware and your PSN/Live accounts. You need to pay a license fee to obtain the Software Development Kit for a console. Something that pirates cannot obtain. The hardware...

    AC09 BIG Editor v1.0

Okay, thats enough of the piracy discussion. You don't want to buy the game? Well, then don't expect any help with it either. If you can't use the editor, thats your problem. You won't find any help here. And by the way, the big editor doesn't care how your obtained the game. All it requires...

The stats were from vgchartz.com. They don't track sales made through Steam and other digital distribution channels. But even that is likely to be insignificant. Codemasters is not a small, unknown publisher that they would need any publicity they can get.

How do you know the PC version was the most popular? Do you have any actual data to back up your claim? I don't think Codies business model revolves around pleasing you.

No, I was saying that they are right in not developing for PC, if Ashes 09 didn't make them enough money. That is how a business works. It takes money, time and effort to develop and publish games. If they aren't getting decent returns, what is the point?

PC version - Codies Reply to my mail

If they made a decent profit with the last game on PC, I can see them releasing the game on PC. They could be releasing the game weeks later to minimise sales lost through piracy. If it didn't make enough to warrant the effort, they should dump the PC platform for their Cricket series.
