Have you tried R2 and trying to defend any ball? As long as I can curb my instincts for risky running between the wickets, I think I can last the 20 overs of a T20 game.
Even the in-game tutorial. My simple questions are:
1. What impacts the line of the ball?
2. What impacts the length of the ball?
3. For swing/cut, do I need to press before run up or during run up?
4. How do I get to turn the ball with spinners?
Hold L2 down, push LAS and flick RAS towards fine leg and square leg area. Despite being an average batsman, I score about 5-10 sixes in every T20 game. Beware, after a few sixes, AI puts a few deep fielders in the leg side creating some nervousness for you.
My suggestion only if you were planning on giving up batting as the OP was saying. I wasn't giving an idea for batting strategy as such.
Also try changing the camera angle. I play 'bowler far' angle which helps me see the line and length slightly earlier than I can in the other cam angles...
Still struggling with bowling. Cannot figure out the correlation between my button presses/pushes and the result yet. Hoping someone (who's figured it all out) makes an extremely easy tutorial for people like me to understand.
Batting is a beauty in this game. Play practice match. Avoid L2 shots for a while. Start playing only front foot shots. You can keep LAS pushed while only RAS need to be pushed at the right direction and in right timing.
