The patching is odd too. You can't just download the updated game on PS4- you have to download the original release (about 70 G) and then the patch (38 G).
The fact Academy teams still crash the system is bizarre. Is this the world's buggiest game six months after release? Or can BA AFL games...
PS4 patch caused an immediate crash on loading.
I deleted the game and did a complete reinstall. Still crashes on loading.
You really couldn't make it up.
Just wish a new developer would step up. Cricket is the second biggest sport in the world. Surely a bigger developer could take an interest?
DB14 was so promising, Ashes was okay, but since then it's got worse. I don't think the developer understands the maths behind their own software...
I finally bought the game on PS4 after seeing it at half price. Surely it must be fixed by now, right?
Oh dear.
- Academy completely broken.
- Non strikers wandering out of ground and getting run out.
- Spinners so overpowered that Root takes 6 wickets in an innings by bowling doosras.
-...
The County Championship... some great grounds like Worcester and Taunton are still missing. It would also be fantastic to have famous outgrounds like Scarborough and Chesterfield too.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the reviews on here. I've saved £50 on a dumpster fire. I cannot understand how a developer can put out such garbage and survive.
I'm still playing C19 - it is not perfect but seems to be about the best game on PS4, although I also like DB17.
This looks to me like a cricket game rushed out in time for the World Cup that doesn't include the World Cup.
It would have been better to have released it in time for the next IPL and made real improvements.
If they were going to do a copy and paste job I'd have preferred a DBC with licenses...
Sorry if this has been asked before (I'm a bit out of touch with cricket gaming), but does 24 have any:
- New stadiums?
- An improved stadium editor?
- Rain delays?
- County championship licences?
There is nothing "subjective" about these bugs as everyone who has played the game keeps finding them and pointing them out on here - you just have to read this thread.
As a customer of all 4 editions it is not unreasonable to want to compare them. Why do some people feel the need to defend an...
I am and I do. I just hoped that, after 4 versions and 5 months of patches over the latest version, BA may have managed to produce a decent new version. Sadly, C19 is still very disappointing to play due to defects pointed out on day 1.
The main problem still seems to be bowling. Against left-hand batsmen the AI RH bowlers still tend to bowl over the wicket and down the legside (meaning lots of easy legside runs) - only later do they go round the wicket and bowl on off stump.
The new leg glance is welcome, but it seems utterly...
Yes, I would endorse this view. I went back to DBC 14 (without patches) and it is streets ahead of Cricket 19 in terms of gameplay.
Despite promises we still haven't seen a C19 superpatch - and in any case the game is so broken that any patch will have to be practically a whole new game for it...
Is there any actual evidence that a new patch is being worked on?
At the moment it it just a shoddy mess. I am fairly patient by nature but I think a lot of fans are very disappointed with BA.
I still pray that EA have something in the works...
