muh price
Seriously, lets talk about something else in here. Or start a separate thread for it if you insist on it. I swear if a lot of you guys spent as long working even minimum wage jobs in most countries for as long as you've spent whinging about the price then you'd have already paid for...
Yeah the game just seems to have problems rendering one particular screen in resolutions above 1080p. We've had this phenomena confirmed by a few people now.
Just for reference, I've attached menu screen that crashes it. If you can get past that screen (through a myriad of saving, exiting...
No dice. Even on 0.
Knowing I can change the resolution in that file while the game is closed will cut down the time I spent opening and closing the game to bypass the problem though, so thanks for that at least. :p
Setting up a career crashes to desktop for me if I'm running the game at a resolution of higher than 1080p. If I run it at 1080p it works fine.
The rest of the game works fine (70fps+) at 4k though. I can even save a game in career mode mid-game (while in 1080p), then change the resolution to...
If I turn it all the way down to 1080p, it does in fact work!
Given that outside of career mode I'm getting 75fps+ on 4k resolution in-game and using a thousand dollar graphics card, there's absolutely no reason it shouldn't be able to render the career mode menu at any resolution though...
The good news is that this seems to be happening to multiple people (myself included), meaning it's something they'll look at a fix for fairly quickly.
I was worried it was just me at first.
I tried lots of things -- deleting all the Academy-downloaded stuff, redownloading and reinstalling the...
My game crashes back to desktop whenever I try to set up a new career mode. Everything else in the game works flawlessly, and my rig (Ryzen 1600X and 1080Ti) should definitely have no problems handling it.
Any tips?
Yeah I do, but I don't think that's a bad thing per se. It was an ambitious patch that looked to add realism based on feedback as much as it looked to just fix bugs, and when you add things there will tend to be more bugs created. I'm sure there will be a Patch 5 to address it, and the game...
The thing is, blocking is easy when you're batting out a draw. Pre-meditated bloks are simple. There's just too much going on with all the buttons to make it a core foundation of your game when you have to react to each delivery on its merits though. To be fair we'll all probably train our...
Seriously reckon there's something fishy about this thread.
It's almost as if the OP didn't *get* a manual with his copy of the game for... whatever reason...
Well, you could always replace the County Championship or Sheffield Shield teams with other downloaded teams; then in career mode you'd see the teams you replaced them win. I don't think you could create a league of a different amount of teams though, as such.
Career mode bug would still let...
Yeah, it's like that by default because the 'proper' batting cameras are from behind the batsman, where those directions make sense.
You can invert it though if you're using the broadcast cam (or even if you're not). In-game press start, go to Options --> Controls and then check "Invert Batting".
I disagree with most of your 'bugs' but I do agree with you here. Blocking is actually harder in terms of control complexity than playing a normal shot, which doesn't seem right. Obviously this has been balanced out by blocking having a far greater margin for error once you manage to get all the...
Haha yeah, I did expect to have some shorts I was more comfortable playing than others - picking the ball up in those areas earlier, timing it better etc - but I've been surprised to see my thumb develop a physical technical fault.
So many times I've attempted to play the ball to mid off but...
I think it's amazing that the batting controls have actually simulated the effects of a real-life technical fault. For whatever reason, having to make fast-reaction movements with the right stick causes me to constantly move it further to the right than I intend a lot of the time, essentially...
I live in Sydney; literally every order I've ever made from EB has arrived the day after I got the "item shipped" email too, so I'm expecting it tomorrow.
EB just sent me an email here telling me my order has been shipped, so I suppose that counts as a broken street date now unless they're telling porkies.
