IPL 10 May - Rajasthan Royals v Chennai Super Kings

Murderous hitting.....:clap:cheers:clap Even though Morkel started it all with lusty blows, Anirudha was just TREMENDOUSSSSS!!!! That first ball six off Tait was the clincher. Next ball, his stumps splattered, but Tait crossed the line. And the last ball was just shockingly bad from Tait. At one point, Chennai were truly buried but our go-to guy Morkel yet again turned it around for us. This is why Morkel is retained season after season despite his mediocre bowling performance.

Hope Chennai take this momentum well forward. I would retain Anirudha for the next game and sack Vijay for Badrinath and Bravo for Du Plessis. Have Du Plessis and Huss open. Du Plessis can bowl decent spin too and our next game is in Chennai. And retain Yo Mahesh who bowled really superb too (2-21 off 4 overs is excellent)

Outstanding batting by Morkel and Anirudha, Morkel always performs in key situations, Tait and Watson should have used a few short balls when Anirudha was on strike, with Morkel on fire, they should have applied more pressure on Anirudha, the way they bowled to him was quite baffling.

Morkel performs well more so on wickets that are quicker than the usual slow ones served up in India. Today the wicket was a little quicker to his liking, and he got it superbly right.

This win is more satisfying since it came off good bowlers like Watson and Tait. Tait's first three overs were actually pretty tight. But he crumbled after Watson was smoked in that 18th over. For RR, Trivedi bowled brilliantly. I have a feeling Dhoni's days as a batsman are being greatly numbered. He has reached a situation where he cant go anyway. His slow game is hurting whichever side he plays for, and he gets out when he goes for the big shots. Its not that Dhoni likes taking the game to the end. He is being forced to take it to the end. His technique seems exposed, and he is not a great timer of the ball anyways. I still love to watch him when he is in full flow. But I am not sure if I can see that for a consistent period.
