WCC Knockout Trophy, commonly known as the Knockout Trophy, is an international championship of One-Day International cricket.
The tournament is organized by the sport's global governing body, the World Cricket Conference (WCC), every two years.
Held in a straight knockouts format, it is is one of the most viewed sporting events in the world, and is considered a “spectacle” by many.
2002 WCC KNOCKOUT TROPHY
The 2002 WCC Knockout Trophy will only be the 2nd edition of the tournament. It is scheduled to be played in Morocco and Spain from April 11 to 28, 2002.
The Top-16 teams from the WCC World ODI Rankings will compete in a tournament held in a straight knockouts format, as the name suggests.
The final will be played in Casablanca (Morocco) on April 28, while Cartagena and Cártama (Spain) will host the two semifinals on April 25 and April 26, respectively.
