Report: Kolkata came into this game having won 3 out of their first 3 games in Planet Crickets 1st DBC IPL, including a win against CSK at home. Batting first they got off to a very poor start finding themselves at 11 for 3 with both key men Ghambir and Shakib back in the shed. Bisla got the fireworks going with a brisk 39 from 21 before Yusuf Pathan took charge and led KKR to the highest score of the competition so far.
CSK would have had to bat very well to chase the score down, but Morne Morkel had other ideas in mind, striking two early blows to get rid of Mccullum and Raina. There after surprisingly the spinners were introduced in only the 4th over with Shakib. He obliged picking up a wicket and so began the strangle with Yusuf pathan bowling 2 maidens from the other end also picking up another wicket. Umesh Yadav mopped up the tail with 2 wickets and CSK were bowled out for 44 giving KKR their 4th win out of 4.
