He was never given out by the umpire. He just waited to see if the ball is called no-ball for height. When the umpire didn't make the call he walked and that was at a very crucial stage of the match.

In any case I don't think you need to give an example for sportsmanship. I've never seen Sachin guilt unsportmanly conduct. Never seen him continue after being blatantly out. Always respects the decision of the umpire. Never shows dissent. All this amounts to excellent conduct on the cricket field. Always playing the game the way it is meant to be played.

hes a classic example of ABCD. although am not sure if he was born there, but still is representing an awful lot of the ABCD ideologies.
