Canada win, and they do so rather comprehensively in the end. Their bowlers kept China tied down to a modest total, and a match-winning partnership between Frederic Baron and Roger Khan saw them across the line in spite of a heavy stumble during the middle phase where they were reduced to 129/5 with 96 runs still needed to win.

Code:
CHINA 224/7 50.0 overs
CANADA 225/5 44.5 overs

Canada won by 5 wickets (with 31 deliveries remaining)

Man of the match: Frederic Baron (Canada)

Just wasn’t to be honestly. The batting has been one of the weaker parts of our side and in the end 224 just wasn’t enough of a total to realistically defend. Still making the knockouts is a good result to take away from this tournament and it does set up the national team for future improvements. Good luck to the remaining sides this tournament.

We are struggling more than I expected this tournament.

I mean this is like what; our third match this tournament? So team is just warming up hopefully we can get into full form and win, but doesn't look likely with the caliber of the competition

Just some Canadian stats update

with that match Frederic Baron becomes the second Canadian to cross 3500 List A runs just passing Martin Terry but still well behind Graham White.

1722221080802.png

Just for some more fun stats Roger Khan has a List A average of 115, the most of any Canadian in this format despite never scoring 100 runs. He has played 21 matches and been not out in 16 of those. His ODI average is 59.50 which is just behind Martin Terry and Frederic Baron

What a bowling performance especially from the leader of the attack Zach. But this pitch is difficult to bat on and they have elite elite bowlers throughout. Those 3 drops could be the difference between winning and losing. But we’ve got to back ourselves to win here and we do. Mills, WGC and the Big man Head and even clutch Jim Malick with the bat have enough quality to do this

Indian bowlers lead them to the semifinals of the World Cup with a magnificent defense against England, who will no doubt leave heartbroken today. After a phenomenal showing with the ball in the first innings, they would've backed themselves to chase India's target, but in the end, the Indian bowlers proved far too good for them.

Commendable resistance shown by Adam Youhana and Kabir Khan Durrani, but blocking everything that comes their way won't do anything. Pakistan need runs on the board, and they need loads of them. With 7 wickets down for 87, they need something truly miraculous from these two men to get to a total their bowlers could at least bowl at.
