2006/07 Ashes Excitement

Well the barmy army don't think its ages away. They have already booked out hotels in adelaide and also applying for waca memberships.

i don`t think it can match the intensity of an Indo-Pak contest though !
Why are the Barmyarmy so eager to see the Ashes going back to Australia ! Strated making their arrangements way too early !

But the Indo-Pak match is religious and territorial. The Ashes aren't.

The schedule has been announced and the 06/07 summer is probably going to be the best summer in Australia for over a decade. NZ will also be coming over to play the VB series which will be very competitve with all 3 teams who have the potential to win the world cup. Perhaps it may be a NZ and England final of the VB series just like a few years back when the Saffas and NZ were in the finals. The schedule can be found here: http://cricket.com.au/default.aspx?s=newsdisplay&id=35970

Also interesting to hear that there is already an anticipated 7000 people from England will be coming down under and could even potentially reach 40,000. Here are some articles:

Well, back on our soil now.It will be an interesting series, especially if the Aussie team stays the way it is.It will be a very good performance by England if they can pull off a series draw.

I wonder what the mood of the players and fans will be like if England beat the aussies in thier own backyard in 06/07. I might go thier to watch a few matches. But is still a long long way till that series.......I'm exiceted about Ind vs Pak, Fifa world cup and Champions throphy 2006.
