Oh, that was just an awful performance from Beijing, who had pretty much given up the chase after the first 10 overs! Kalu got a fifty, but it did more harm than good, as the spinners focused on frustrating the batsmen with tight bowling instead of looking for wickets. Shalin started brightly, but struggled as well, as Chennai just gave absolutely nothing away. Beijing ended an incredible 48 runs short, and requiring a massive win in leg 2 to avoid ending up 4th. As for Chennai, they got the job done in emphatic fashion, and are well set to take 3rd place honours.
