Two months ago I would have said India is favorite going into the match but not anymore. 2 months is long time in International cricket.

And there is no spice left in this contest anymore. Can we see another controversial India-Australia encounter.

Form book: Aussies have won 6-1 in England but looked somewhat shaky against weal West Indies side. India has been downhill since ICC World T20.

  1. Sachin Tendulkar
  2. Gautam Gambhir
  3. Rahul Dravid
  4. Suresh Raina
  5. MS Dhoni
  6. A Nayar
  7. Y Pathan
  8. Harbhajan
  9. Praveen Kumar
  10. A Mishra
  11. Ishant Sharma

Not bad?

Agree with Praveen Kumar in side. We need Misra also as Aussie do not play spin well like they used too. Bhajji will not need any motivation for this one and its better to leave Nehra out of this one.

But I think we will be going with same line up. Maybe Praveen for RP Singh.

Watson
Paine
Ponting
Clarke
Ferguson
Hussey
Hopes
Johnson
Lee
Hauritz
Siddle

take white out and bring back clarke(if he's fit) main reason for keeping ferguson in over white is not only that i dont like white but because i havent seen white play spin to well....

Dinesh Karthik instead of Yusuf Pathan and Nehra instead of Sharma.

Nehra was the best bowler yesterday.....Ishant and harbhajan love the aussies(especially Punter)
And hope sachin fires~!~~

And how can you have Yusuf there?
He doesnt knows to bat to the situation's demands. And his defence is awful. We would be fine with One all rounder imo.Kohli inplace of Yusuf.Everything else is fine out there.

Have you ever heard commentary men saying "Big and hard hitter"

We need him he's our asset if we bat first.

An avg of 20 in 30 matches with just 2 50s,patahn doesn't deserve a place anymore.

Theres no use having him tbh.I would have a player who can score run a ball, hit boundaries when needed and more importantly who plays consitently, over someone who'll do a cameo once in a blue moon.Kohli > Yusuf any day.

If we win against Australia, we're through to the next round.

No offence to west indies.

Oy, people are being morons. Yusuf pathan is an excellent batsman and a key bowler. He hasn't clicked in international cricket, but it doesn't mean he's a bad player. Stop bragging crap.

Here's my line-up:

Gautham Gambhir (bat)
Yusuf Pathan (all)
Sachin Tendulkar (bat)
Rahul Dravid (bat)
MS Dhoni*+ (bat)(wk)(cp)
Abhishek Nayar (bat)
Praveen Kumar (all)
Harbhajan Singh (bowl)
Amit Mishra (bowl)
Ishant Sharma (bowl)
Ashish Nehra (bowl)

Yusuf can be a shuffle. But he'll do well opening. Can be very very Explosive.

So we have Gambhir and Yusuf/Sachin opening the match, Hoping there will be a big partnership early on, and then comes the wall, dravid. If he settles in, you may not need the other players much sooner than 40 overs. Then Dhoni might come himself or send nayar to boost up the scorecard a bit, But sending nayar is a good option, he settles in very quickly. If he goes all out, though he'll risk his wicket, there will be dhoni coming up. If the plan goes right, India should perfectly be able to finish off with a good total and last 50 overs.

That makes it 5 batsmen, 2 steady all rounders, 5 key bowlers.

Not bad, huh?

Australia will easily score another 300+ against our bowling and our batting without Sehwag and Yuvraj not going to chase that.
