Hi Guys! I'm fairly new to cricket. I'm from PA, USA where cricket is not even heard of! I and a few friends are interested in playing for fun. However I'm unsure where to play. We are near a lot of softball fields which we can maybe play in the outfield but the ground is lumpy as well as soccer fields. I have equipment to play with (Bat, stumps, balls, protective equipment) Since there is no cricket pitch anywhere around. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or advice on where and how to play especially spending as little money if any as possible.

Welcome to cricket! A softball or soccer field works well—use the flattest area. For a pitch, mark a strip with chalk or mats. Tennis balls are safer for beginners. Check local parks or schools, and consider community groups for more players. Enjoy!
