Okeefe is 28 the way he plays and his body shape i would say he only has 3 years left in him.

If Essendon get him that is absolutely crazy
With guys like Lloyd and Lucas about to retire in a year or so they need to be using there draft picks on guys that will hopefully still be around in 3-5 years when they may be around the top 4 if they keep slowly improving.

You dont waste high draft picks on a guy thats 28 unless you seriously believe your a finals contender in the next year or so.
Surely Essendon dont believe they can win a premiership in the next 2 years.
If they get Okeefe they better get Cousins in the PSD aswell

OKeefe is suited for a team that is likely to play finals next year. The Bulldogs is a perfect fit for him. They are close to winning a premiership, and they need a goal kicker who kicks 40-50 goals a season. OKeefe could be a HUGE boost for the Dogs

It seems they do think that, they blame it all on injuries really, ignoring the fact that their two best players are on the wrong side of 30, their best full back is the same, and that when Lloyd, Lucas and Fletcher retire they'll have no one to kick goals unless Gumbleton comes good, no one to play Full Back and still only three average midfielders.

Looks like Brent Prismall wants to leave, interesting move I guess, but then again his injury probably sealed it for him. If he comes back at round 12 or later and we're doing well, he'll have to fight for his spot once again, forcing him to really consider whether it's worth staying around for a possible return in 2010. Hopefully we can get a first round pick for him though, we got that for Moloney.

Losing O'Keefe for nothing is annoying, but I'm glad Roos isn't letting him back. Just couldn't watch him play knowing that he wanted out.
