IN PROGRESS All-Time Australia ODI XI

My last two picks.

Mike Veletta - The hero for Australia in 87' Semi Final with the bat.

Chris Lynn - The powerful hard hitting opener (Who I think can bat at any position).

@Paranoid Kendroid next.

01. :aus: :bat: David Warner :c:
02. :aus: :bat: Steven Barry Smith
03. :aus: :bat: Shaun Marsh

06. :aus: :wk: Alex Carey
07. :aus: :ar::up: James Faulkner
08. :aus: :ar::up: Shane Lee
09. :aus: :bwl::up: Mitchell Starc
10. :aus: :bwl::up: Geoff Lawson
11. :aus: :bwl::down: Tom Hogan

Brett Lee's brother will cap off my team. He will bat at no. 8 while also being the 4th pacer of the team. Although there was a thought of picking a spin all rounder but I think any true Australian side should have at least 4 pace bowling options. Plus this guy can also bat pretty well giving the right depth to my side.

Only mistake in my side is probably lack of a proper captain. For now, I'm putting David Warner as the skipper but I would appreciate if anyone can suggest the best option available.

@Perfect Square with double picks
Warner is the best option available.

@Viper.

the other all rounder option that I had in mind for my tenth pick still seems to be unpicked, and that’s a good thing now-

I think James Hopes, who got edged out by Moody in the race to make my XI as all rounder finds his way back in as 12th man. An all rounder as the backup is the best balance- I can bring him for both a bat and a bowler, and I’d do better with both more bowling options and batting depth.

Hopes has 3800 List A runs and 228 wickets, he similarly has his name up in both the runs and wickets chart in ODI for Australia. Though he was seemingly not excellent in either, he is a good dual player.

@ddrap14

So unfortunately, :ar: Trevor Chappell is now only really known for being the bowler of the underarm delivery. However, he was a solid batsman and a good bowler. And as someone who, uh, forgot to get more than five bowling options...
