Hi there! I was really looking forward to Cricket 2004, much like thousands of other fans. The thought of being able to play a full fledged cricket game after nearly a gap of two years excited me to the core. I have played Cricket 2002 and should say, for starters, it wasnt very bad. With a little more work I believed the game could have been a winner. With this in mind, and after reading a few online previews, I was convinced that Cricket 2004 would have it all- graphics, gameplay, and longevity. Although it seemed a little longer than it really was, I waited patiently for the release date.

Soon as I got Cricket 2004, I coudnt control myself anymore and turned on my laptop hoping to unleash the game's prowess. The installation ran smooth and I had no probs with it. Should say, the installation feature actually looks a lot polished than the earlier version. After installing the game I clicked the icon on my desktop, and to my surprise I was presented with a 'windows style' box much like Cricket 97. This certainly makes it alot easier for gamers to customize all the settings, aswell as offering quick access to the readme file. Full marks for you guys on that!

With bated breath, I clicked the \"Play Game\" icon. First the the licenses came up, followed by the \"Loading\" screen. I was extremely impatient for the load meter to fill up to the max and....BOOM, with not even two paces into the meter the game quit and reverted back to my windows desktop. Hey, I thought, I've seen that somewhere. And that certainly wasnt Cricket 2004! I tried over and over again, yet the same result...game quitting back to the desktop during the \"Loading\" screen. With a little more research I came to realize that my laptop had an Intel 82815EM 32MB Gfx Card, and the game wouldnt support it. A few friends of mine who all had Intel chipsets confirmed my findings, the game didnt work on their systems aswell.

All I would like to know is why have you guys made Intel chipsets void? Intel chipsets are the most popular graphic solutions available on computers, in general. Mine has 32MB, sure supports D3D, yet the game I most wanted to play wouldnt work. Call it bad luck or whatever...I really am disappointed to say the least. The high hopes and anticipation seem quashed at the moment. Am sure am not the only one. There are a few thousand more avid cricket fans who all have an Intel chipset on their PC. They'll all be losing a great oppurtunity to play this game. And if people dont play, then you very well know your fate. Am sorry to say this, but that's the basic truth.

I sincerely request ya'll to address this issue. It is very, very important that the game supports Intel chipsets. Cricket 2002 certainly worked well and I dont see a reason why Cricket 2004 shouldnt. Please dont deprive the fans of playing a great game. Am sure thousands will appreciate and thank you for the effort ya'll have put in making this game.

I still havent returned my copy yet, with the hope of getting a favorable response from your end. Please do consider my humble request!

Regards.
