ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!..TENDULKAR THE GREAT

I need to see the full innings, i made the worst decision ever last night to sleep through this game:doh

Thats amazing! I went to bed with Sachin on 94*, with plenty of overs to go, and I kid you not I fell asleep thinking i'd wake up to a Cricinfo headline where Sachin got 201*, I was one run off! Somehow I just knew he'd bat through and get the double.

So, who is going to be the 2nd player to get 200? Only a matter of time now. All those people who said a slogger will do it in 20/20 style were so wrong. You cant slog that long. I vote Punter will do it next. Or Watson.

I didn't watch the match.
I just came on PC and found out.
WOW a great innings by a great player:clap.
for me he is the best Batsmen ever

I told you all it'd be Tendulkar.

Congrats to the great man. No one currently in world cricket deserves it more.

A 200 would require a lot of class which is why I feel a Tendulkar would have a better chance. He's been up there a handfull of times already which is good evidence. Tendulkar can hit the ball, but he's much better at staying in and getting the singles, twos etc as well as boundary hitting. Much better head on his shoulders.

I win. I'm sooooo good.

I said it was going to be Sachin as my first response in this thread too. That night I saw him make 175 without a runner, while chasing confirmed to me that he would do it soon. He had good support today, unlike that night or else Sachin would have achieved 200 there and then.

Tendulkar is god. No one deserved it more.

I was very fortunate to witness this live. I woke up at around 6:40 and saw that The Genius was one 179*. Immediately turned on the game and watched it till the end. Ended up going to school about a half hour late.

I was very nervous in the middle though. Dhoni simply didn't want to give him strike!

Probably won't break Afridi's record of being caught cheating the most times in cricket either

Had a feeling it might be him since he was so technically sound as he showed in that 175 against us and he did it so quickly and could have got the 200 then if he didn't tire/team fall apart around him.

Sehwag can definitely be the second, his 200 and 300s in Test cricket shows he has no problem batting for a long period and not getting out. Watson could do it if he overcomes the Watsonitics (getting out in the 50s or 90s). Can't see Ponting doing it, hes not unless he regains his form and even then he would have to play a knock like his 03 WC final knock.

Too bad I didn't get to see this live. Anyone know where I can watch the highlights?

Boy oh boy, what an innings. Am I sure glad I stayed up to watch the match. Ended up going out tired but worth it!

What an average way to find out about it, hearing it on the radio this morning. Would have loved to have seen the innings where someone broke the 200 barrier first live, ah well.

Congrats Tendulkar.
