ICC Announces Format for World Twenty20

Today the ICC have announced changes to the structure for the World Twenty20 in the West Indies this April.

It is announced that it will not be a group stage it will be a knockout over two games. In case the scores are tied after 2 matches the winner will be decided by which team has taken the most wickets so it is crucial in which team has the best attack. Also this years tournament will be contested by 8 teams instead of 12. This is to prevent a clutter of fixtures with the new format.

The draw will take place in two weeks at the final venue in Barbados.

The teams that will be involved are
  1. Australia
  2. England
  3. India
  4. New Zealand
  5. Pakistan
  6. South Africa
  7. Sri Lanka
  8. West Indies

That's a good one, really looking forward to see Pakistan winning twice in a row, this is only format in which they are bit good.

Why don't you ask to add a poll?

Why is the poll Multiple Choice, how can more than one team win it??? :p

Well what if you want to back more that one team?

Well Kieron, if I were you, I'd have named the story "THE T20 CHAMPIONS TROPHY" so that it'd be a bit different. Btw, great start, and I reckon it'd be a great hit:)
