Hey all

I've often complained about my one and only gripe with DBC14, and that AI batsmen in no way bat according to how they are skilled in the academy. Bowling at Joe Root feels no different to bowling at Vernon Philander, etc, leading to my Russia 122 for 2 thread.

I've been trying a bit of human batting myself, and think I am feeling the difference between batsmen now. Stuart Meaker has much less power and edges the ball more than Joe Root. I bat on legend by the way.

Obviously people here have been batting loads. I want to know if my observations are flash in the pan, or if there is a genuine and tangible difference to how batsmen are skilled, and how easy they are to bat with in the game.

Thanks all

I always like to edit players myself because I hate how some of the downloaded players are edited, and I tend to try and make the batsman and bowlers quite high rated (most of an international test XI is 5*) so it makes the difference in skill between a bowler bowling to a bowler quite high. I have found no problems with bowlers batting like Bradman, so maybe overrate the bowling skill a bit more for your bowlers.

I will have to give this a go, seeing as my batting allrounder seems to be able to get wickets against top order batsmen easier than the tail.
