Australia stacks up with youngsters
The Australia cricket club has today announced that 3 more players will be hanging up the boots after 3 legends of the game, Warne, McGrath, Langer and Martyn all called it quits during the Ashes series just a week back.

Damien Martyn was the 1st to go after naming his retierment after the Adelaide test, after playing in the Brisbane and Adelaide test without any succes. He didnt play in the remaining 3 tests, but was there to farwell the crowd at the SCG last Friday.

Shane Warne decided to be the next, saying that his farwell game was going to be at home, under the roof where he grew up and played cricket. The MCG was set for a big stage 95+ thousand fans stormed the G to see Warnie. It was also a very special occasion in Cricket history, Shane Warne was only 1 wicket away from a 700 wash. And he didnt dissapoint.

Glenn McGrath followed his old friend into retierment. They started playing together, they have had great times together, the good the bad and the ugly, but they have stood by each other like brothers. McGrath and Warne have acheived everything in cricket, wickets, cathes, and with the bat. McGrath arguably one of the best fast bowlers to ever play the game, bowed out of the game for the last time in Sydney. And what a way to finish 5-0 in the Ashes series against the poms.

Justin Langer also said it was enough for him. 13 years of bruises and blood and tears for his country, he thought it was enough. Langer has formed a devestating partnership with fellow team mate Matthew Hayden. Arguably the best partnership in history, he bows out from the game with 7000 runs, and over 100 catches, and stellar career to celebrate.

Now the Australia fans thought that might be it, but 3 more Aussies have come out and said thats it from cricket.

Fast bowler Jason Gillespie has been under the microscope for a while now, just turning down his performance a little bit over the past 12 months, and decided that injury's are just to much for the guy, and talks it quits after a stellar career

Batsman Simon Katich is another to say goodbye to Cricket, after a good career, not a great one you can say, but a overall good career. Was a good player with the bat, and not a bad fieldsman either.

And now the biggest suprise of them all. After accepting the Ashes back from the Poms, thats right captain Ricky Ponting has called it quits from Cricket. Ponting says he has followed his team mates, and thought it was the best time to say goodbye. A 5-0 white wash of the Poms, just the 2nd time it has happened in 86 years, is just the perfect time to say goodbye, u cant get any better then that.

Australia selectors now have a daunting task who to replace those 7 players, but the nightmare doesnt stop there. There are rumors around that another 2-3 players are looking to call it quits.

Australia have a big task on their hands for the next 12 months
