Bad start for PM XI

A poor start from the Priminsters XI as seen them on the back foot right from the beginning of play. England's opening bowlers have dominated the start of play, which has already seen 2 wickets fall at the duration of the beginning of the match.

A poor start from the XI will now see them in a difficult position to counter this England bowling attack. It is a bad start since the pitch will be cracking later on in the day, so they would have wanted to make their oppourtunities count as much as possible.
Stephen Harmison and Matthew Hoggard have pounded the two opening batsmen for the XI in Phil Jaques and T. Paine.

T. Paine was the first wicket to fall. Stephen Harmison was the envountrer for the wicket as he bowled a ball to Paines right. Just outside off stump, and it was the perfect delivery. Paine went for a shot down the ground, but with the extra height in the ball, from the pitch, Paine miss judged the flight of the ball, and it came off the edge of the bat.
A perfectly well dive from keeper C. Read dived well down to his right side of his body and took a wonderful catch. Although if he didn't decide to go after the ball, it still would of most likely been caught by a slip.

S. Marsh is the new batsmen to the crease. He will be hoping to re-conjour things for the Aussies, and with Phil Jaques playing some good shots, hopefully the XI can get back into this game, and not worry to much about the early wicket of Paine.

Although that re-conjour of the scoreboard didn't work. Phil Jaques had one of those moments when everything just went wrong for you. Harmison came into bowl to Jaques, and i don't know what happened. Jaques must of went blank for a second, or he didn't quiet read the flight of the ball, well however, the ball ended up going past Jaques and went smack bang right into the middle of the stumps. Jaques gone for 7, and now the XI are in trouble.

All things are going bad here for the Priministers XI, and England are on a role just a couple of overs into the match. Will England keep this bowling pressure up, or are the Aussies going to come back and fight? Will the pitch play a key factor in the innings for the Aussies? We'll find out.

England bowlers are bowling very well. PMXI need to build a solid partnership here. Good writing and presentation.

England are bowling brilliantly. that might have been one of jacques' last chances to be picked for the ashes.

Anyway should be able to update today at some stage :D:happy

Looking forward to your next update, Roo. England are bowling beautifully so far but Priministers XI should have the quality to mount a small comeback as long as they keep their star batsmen in.
