Australian Premier League XIII

The English batsman dominate again. Morgan going better this season and Trott again having a good season. North finally finds some form with a quick 65 off 43 so a score of 276 was pretty good. I finally get my bowling picks right with Swan again taking a few wickets, Swann bowling well, Kulasekara taking a couple of wickets and Faulkner. Birts bound to find some form soon. Unfortunately with Prior out injured, he's the only one who can keep unless you count Morgan which I don't plan on using him as a keeper.

Pollard is so overrated, he's is yet to do anything of note in his 43 international matches.
I remember when he came to NZ I think two years ago, he was batting like seven and hardly bowling, everyone was like who's this crap guy, now he plays a couple of good innings in random domestic competitions like CL and IPL, and he is considered good.
IMO NO player is ever good, unless they have performed on the international stage.
Check out his legendary INT stats here, a mind bobbling ODI batting average of 18, and a T20I batting average of... wait for it... 12!

Geez, we almost screwed up our game. Only needing 30 odd runs with ten overs left but winning off only the second last ball!

Hmm. Six Games Left for us, need to win at least 4 if we want to make it to the next round.

Melbourne have just traded Kieron Pollard for Newcastle's Mohammad Aamer.

Sorry for delay!

Trade Confirmed!

Yeah! I guess you're right but there was no space for Aamer in my lineup so I thought it was better to get Pollard there. But still Aamer >> Pollard.

Young Aamer needs some time to get used to the new atmosphere.
So,he may not come in to contention in the playing xi for a couple of rounds.

I can tell you. I really hate this bonus point rule. I never have lost by a very small margin this season which is what separates me really at the moment with the top 6.

Yeah, but this has to be in for reducing team clashes at the end of the league stage IMO.

See my league, if you lose, a point will be deducted! And in a particular round, if you win, you'll get 8 points.

I think they should just be used if there is a clash in the amount of wins between teams.
E.g. If one team gets 5 wins and 5 BPs, they should not be ahead of a team who get 6 wins and no BPs.

So if teams are equal on wins, you look at ties, then if that is equal you go to BPs, and if they are equal you go to NRR.

I think its a very fair system although idk how the bonus point for the losing team works. By how many runs should they lose by to get that Biggy?

It is a very small margin, you have to lose by about 10 runs or with about 2 overs to go.. For a team to get 5 bonus points like Callum pointed out would be very freakish.

Adelaide have traded Nick Kruger for Peter Nevill (free agent). Nick Kruger is now available to be traded into your teams.

If it were the other way around then you'd be loving it. There's no pleasing everyone, no matter how hard you try.
