Australia keeps run rate going
Australia have kept the run rate at a steady pace in their One Day against the Scotland team. Thanks to Michael Hussey, the Aussies have set up and good positon, and are troubling the Scot's early in the piece. Hussey shown above hits another boundary to trouble the Scotsmen.
Michael Hussey and Matthew Hayden seemed to have the Bowlers at bay, and have figured out the bowlers early, and are now just playing their time, and easily smashing the balls around. Matthew Hayden was the better of the two, Hussey had the better start, but Hayden got his gear toegther near the end of the 10th over, and opening, is what he loves, and started to show it.
Being an opener, Hayden didn't have the best start, but like the good opener he is, started to play some normal Hayden shots, and got his confidence up and running again.
Hussey goes for 24
After a good start to the match, Scotland has finally found it's wicket they needed to break the Hayden and Hussey partnership. The Partnership was creeping up to the 50 run mark, so Scotland needed to do something, and quickly.
With relief they found that something, with Hoffman bowling a ball, that Hussey completely miss timed, and knock the stumps over. Hussey was clean bowled and not happy about it. Hussey just didn't know what to expect with that ball, and totally miss judged the flight of the ball, and it ended up going straight behind him, and hearing the bails being knocked over, is something Hussey didn't want to hear.
With Hussey gone, and only making 26, Ricky Ponting now comes to the crease, and with Matthew Hayden at his side, the Scot's will have to start over again with their attack. Arguably Australia's 2 best batsman are in the crease at the moment, so Scotland, might have a few tough overs in front of them, will need to find a wicket quickly, to try and stop this Australia attack.
