best county team

who is the best county team to be if you just start. i am going to be lanc
shire because i support them but i think somerset might have a very good team.

I played a couple of matches with Durham before ditching them, I won both the tests but only thanks to Steve Harmisson who took 13 wickets in the first test and 14 in the next.

somerset rule! lol, as lancs and leics found out this week...... anyway, i like to be somerset or surrey, cos they have a class team too. can anybody who has got quite far into the game tell me how good James Hildreth becomes? oh, and Rikki Clarke (seriously needs a hair cut) as well? i havent really been able to play it much to get that far into the game, cheers

Surrey's bowling attack is a tad weak and an old one too, Mahmood went for 150 runs and only took 2 wickets part of the reason was that I was playing against Somerset whose batting lineup is very very strong.

KEnt, they have a fantastic batting lineup, and some good bowlers. Hall, Kemp , Saggers and PAtel can really rip through an average side.

Essex have a good side with the flower brothers and cook and jefferson in there batting line up, they also have a great seam attack in tudor gough and andre adams, but they do not have a good spinner but have plenty of good allrounders

Warwickshire have a good side on the 2005 version, they have giles,bell,knight,troughton, trott(best all-rounder i have seen on the game),streak and pretorius to name but a few!

On the trial I played as Kent against Warwickshire and 3 people hit centuries, (Van J, Key and Fulton) Geraint hit a 96 and Hall hit 67 as we got about 620 for 7 in a county game. We also bowled them out twice for under 400 runs altogether.
