Most management games seem to be quite deep and simulate much of the cricketing world. I especially like how Cricket Coach 2009 has the whole WCL structure and you are able to take control of the lowest teams and theoretically make them a test country.
But I prefer sports games where you actually play and not just manage. And those games are usually quite shallow at representing the cricketing world. It's typically just the test countries and the very top of the rest and only a few non-interrelated competitions to play. It seems there isn't the time or resources to do both. You always have to choose whether the company is going to spend most of their time on a game engine or a game world.
It would be great to get a fully complete action cricket game. The best hope now seems to be when cricket Life or AOC release and then the community gets together for some HEAVY modding.
