Currently there has been a lot of talk about hectic Schedules and its toll on players. The best Solution to this would be to form a World Cricket League and show the matches on Television to all Nations involved.
This is how it would work
1. This would involve 40 teams (3 from each of the Test Playing nations and 1 each from the lesser 10 nations. This would help the lesser players to get a change ? For Example ? Currently an Australian 3rd side would beat most of the Test Playing nations. So this would provide an opportunity to these players. This league could be throughout the year and organized at different times of the year in different countries.
2. Another advantage would be that the teams would develop a Reserve strength in case any of their International Players in injured. This would be most beneficial to lesser nations as they would have a wider pool of players and would benefits by touring different countries and getting accustomed to different conditions.
3. The ICC would benefit greatly from the Sponsorship and TV Rights and the viewers would have more number of matches to follow.
4. Players would get required breaks and would not complain of the schedule.
5. Currently we have so many professional players but only 15-20 can get into the National Team. So for the remaining it would be great since they can get into "A", "B", "C" or "D" Teams and still represent the National Side.
I am sure when the National Side is not playing even a Sri Lanka "B" versus India "B" would generate great interest.
