Just google the name if you're not sure, the Cricinfo entry will have an accurate age.

Luke Wright
Joe Denly
Alastair Cook
Manoj Tiwary
Suresh Raina
Phil Hughes
Luke Pomersbach
Shaun Marsh
Ravinder Bopara
Jesse Ryder
Ross Taylor
Nasir Jamshed
Mohammed Ashraful
Tamim Iqbal
AB De Villiers

There's quite a few names for ya, most of them mentioned before, but a few quality young Englishmen in there aswell. There are some quality youngsters in World Cricket, and the 25 age limit opens the door for many players, Brendon McCullum for example is only 26, Ian Bell is only 26, so the future of world cricket is definitely positive.

I think if we are talking about 'up-and-coming' young batsmen, then you have to remove AB and Cook, because they are established batsman.

wow in not even two days we have a lot of posts
i thank every one for contributing and people that havent contributed at least give one name. people who have contributed already can help more!

well i just want every one who is relly good at batting that is below the age of 25. i mean salman butt is one of the best in that list with the highest average of 40! you could count him as an established batsmen. but he is still young and can improve

Like Rohit said, Abhishek Nayar.......

Well even though, he's still probably a genuine all rounder, I reckon he could get into a team for his batting alone.

I think it's better off he ditches bowling, even though he's quite good at it, and concentrate solely on batting.

Or he could become Razzaq-eque...

Who do you think is the Best Young Batsmen and why
The player should be less than 25

2) Salman Butt 40
3) AB De Villiers 37
4) Mark Cosgrove 37
5) Ross Taylor 35
6) Mahmudullah 35
7) Nasir Jamshed 34
8) Shakib Al Hasan 33
9) Alastair Cook 32
10) Tamim Iqbal 27
11) Rohit Sharma 27
12) Suresh Raina 26
13) Luke Wright 26
14) Dwayne Bravo 24
15) Mohammed Ashraful 23
16) Xavier Marshall 10
17) Manoj Tiwary 2 (Only played one ODI) First Class average is 54

tommorow i will host a poll with all the names you guys list!!

SO GET THE NAMES IN :)

Xavier Marshall played 10 ODIs when he was 19 and against the best sides in cricket unlike Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah, Shakib Al Hasan who played plenty of ODIs against Zimbabwe. Not taking anything away from those batsman especially from Tamim but Marshall has improved allot over the last 3 years and he has shown that in the tests against Australia.

Also everyone has forgotten Brendan Taylor because he plays for Zimbabwe but he is one of the best talents in cricket.

Your poll is missing the option "other"

yeah true i remember he won a match vs bangladesh by hitting six off mashrafe in the last ball and he also played good in the recent pakistan series..

Rohit Sharma will be the future. I expect him to slide into Tendulkar's shoes over the next few years. He will be the one who will hold the Indian fort. Also,Sharma has already shown some of his class and earned praise for the same from Gilly and Ponting too.

i think that after a few years, salman butt will be one of the best batsmen in the world. already 7 centuries to his name and 5 against India! he is only 23. He is ranked 16th in icc rankings.
