thanks for the help, now the game is running perfect, all i had to do was uncheck the box, instead of leaving it checked, now it runs at any resoultion, even full screen. i have also updated my graphics card drivers so that the game graphics run much smoother now. one problem, none of the controls work, when i press them, the batsmen just leaves the ball each time, any ideas???

tutsi yer a genius- the demo works on my laptop now with full resolution (I have an amd athlon 64 with 1g ram)

That is the reason why Tutsi used Win98 as the compatibility mode. Thank God Windows has something good in it.
