I have now installed Boss's patch and found that the CPU paces itself much better and doesn't play silly hook shots all of the time.
However, there seems to be an issue if you play a very slow ball (W) pitched very short, the batsman almost always goes out LBW. This only really works on semi-dry pitches, it takes the bounce out of the ball and because it is going so slow, the batsman leaves it and it's outside off stump but naturally still goes LBW because it comes in low.
Is there a patch yet that caters for that or is the only solution "don't bowl like that" which is a bit difficult if you know it's the batsmens weak area.
