I have recently bought the game and installed it, I am still getting to grips with the controls.

I am having a bit of trouble with the bowling side of the game.

Could you tell me where to move the 'movement marker' to when bowling with certain bowlers?

The 'movement marker' is the small round circle on the ball when bowling.

I have yet to take any proper wickets and am getting very frustrated.

Cheers,

Chivo :D

that makes 2 of us mate.
the only wickets ive taken are runouts and the odd catch, never caught one behind though.
in all the games ive played an opposing batsman has never edged it to slips or keeper.
also ive never clean bowled anyone.
it doesnt matter if i play as the aussies or play against a crap team, its getting very frustrating.

i notice the ball never turns when spinning and never swings for the medium pace bowlers.
so id like to ask as well, where do you put the white marker on the cricket ball?

please help, its ruining the game for me

Try a 50 over match on a green wicket and you'll get plenty of edges. Also check out some of the bowling tips threads.
The movement marker works in reverse as far as I'm concerned. To seam it away from the right-hander, point it in and to seam it in point it away. This is the opposite for left-handers.

thanks barmyarmy, some good tips there

i played a 50 over match World Cup, used the savegame editor to change the pitch to green.
first match against NZ as ENG i bowled em out for 55 on med skill, i took wickets caught behind. lbw from a fast bowler(only ever got them with slow bowlers before, and then very rarely) and even clean bowled :)

all i need to do now is practice my batting, i only won by 2 wickets in the end :D

I tried a green pitch.
I was having no success until I tried a spinner, then all of a sudden i took 5 wickets in 1 over.
Not bad eh? :D
