byes problem

when i ever i bat and when the bowler balls in the leg side or off side and i duck the ball or defense and its goes bac to wicketkeeper and still catch the ball when i ever i duck or leave the ball it only goes byes and i was wat the heck.. every time it goes byes.... plz help me out.. and plzz don't tell me to try to search in other topic... its urgent.. :helpme:
