Delete the file c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt to recycle bin.

Next, open this directory c:\windows\repair

copy autoexec.nt file from this folder to c:\windows\system32

then insert the CD and install the software

U said u are not able to run the setup at all i.e.the setup is not running/starting.
I think u have some problem with the system. It may be due to virus infecting all the exe files when u run them.Do a spyware check and a virus scan.

Or else u can install the game manually by following the below steps.

1.If u want to install the game to D Drive

2.make a folder named Codemasters in D Drive and then make a subfolder named Brian Lara Cricket
i.e.D:\Codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket

3.Insert the CD
4.Open 'program' folder in the CD

5.Copy all the folders and files and paste them into D:\Codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket

6.Open 'Blc' folder in the CD
7.Copy all the folders in it to D:\Codemasters\Brian lara Cricket

8.Now directly copy 'Blc' folder in the CD to D:\Codemasters\Brian lara Cricket

9.Open 'dll' folder in CD.U will find qmdx.dll file.Copy it and paste it to
C:\windows\system32

10.Copy 'FMV' folder in the CD to D:\Codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket

11.Open 'INDEO5' folder in the CD and run iv5play ,it will automatically install the necessary codecs.

12.Now copy 'pcsound' folder in the CD to D:\Codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket

13.Open 'Stadiums' folder in the CD.Copy both the folders (stadhigh, stadmed) in it to D:\codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket

14. Open 'Maximum' folder and copy both the files in it to D:\Codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket

15.Now close the CD Drive folder

16.Open this website to get the files required to run the game in XP

http://blc.sports-gaming.com/blcfiles.htm

There are 5 files on the site i.e.file 1,file 2,file 3,file 4,file 5
Download file5(d3dtnt.rar) or file1(software.exe)
after downlaoding open this file with Winrar .If u dont have winrar get it from www.winrar.com
Extract the file d3dtnt.exe in the winrar to D:\codemasters\Brian lara Cricket

17.Now open D:\codemasters\Brian lara Cricket folder

18.Click on d3dtnt.exe file or software.exe (whichever u downloaded from the site and replace it in the D:\codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket folder)

The game should run now
If it asks for CD ,then insert the CD

If u want to run the game without inserting the CD everytime in the CD-Drive
then make a virtual drive of this folder "D:\codemasters\Brian Lara Cricket" using the software "Virtual Drive Creator" which u can find by searching on google.

If u need help understanding the steps reply
