Whenever I play, no matter who the player or what their ratings are,if i try to play any sort of cover/off drive, I just edge it and get Caught behind. Is anyone else having this or am I just bad. If so can anyone give me some advice to hove to not get caught behind other that not playing that shot.

foot work and practice get as close as possible to line of ball. footwork really matters there is difference between a 12 o clock foto work and a 1-2 oclock foot work. what difficulty are you playing if you are struggling a lot drop down the difficulty get a hang of it at easier diff and then upgrade to higher diff. Practice a lot in academy ground training watch the ball also be aware of hw your moving the LS and RS.

I'm all good with the off drive, but I edge it every time trying to on drive off pace bowlers.

Defend or leave the good length (green) balls. Then try driving the full and yorker length - less chance of an edge and more chance of getting a good contact to beat the close fielders.

There seems to be an issue particularly to spin with the ball just outside off stump. It seems to catch the edge a lot. I like they have opened up the bating for more shots but it seems to also had a run on effect. Shots just don't go where they should. I had hits scored of 250 plus pre patch, now I the best I have hit is 57. Previously I could tell when I got out why, now it seems very random. I have even had square cuts etc go for a straight drive. Hopefully it gets fixed.

Thats when you get cramped for room to play the shot, hits the bat high and goes cover or mid off..

Also when that happens I look at where my right stick is and it wasnt 100% to the right (for a right handed cut shot) it was slightly directed to the cover region, also I may have played a touch early, which would all make it go to cover instead of cut position. Which mirrors real life, this is awesome.... PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE... this game is truly becoming a cricket simulator rather than a game ;)
