Hello everyone, welcome to the final of Champions League here at PlanetCricket. We have two evenly matched sides here in Nottingham Outlaws (EPL) and Manicaland Bulls (ZPL). Nottingham have been consistent throughout the competition and have justified their favorites tag right from the start. They beat Seattle Sharks in the 1st qualifier, the table toppers, to get to the final, in a high scoring encounter. On the other hand, Manicaland have been the dark horses as many would believe. After the thrilling eliminator against Polokwane, they won comfortably in the rematch and then defeated the demoralized Seattle Sharks in the 2nd qualifier to be here squaring off against the favorites.

'We are a good side and that's why we're here. They (Manicaland) have peaked at the right time so, we can expect it to be an interesting match. It's difficult playing without him (Hashim Amla) but, that's the way this tournament goes. We did beat them in the league match, comprehensively too. But, this is another day, another game. We will play the best XI and will look to play better Cricket on the day.'

At the toss, it was the Manicaland Bulls skipper Brendan Taylor who called it correctly and decided to send Nottingham in. This was seen as a surprising call by many as the wicket looked good to bat on. Plus, bat first in big games is what everyone keep saying.

Gettable, definitely gettable. But it'll be really tough against that bowling attack of the Notts. We started quite well but then Guppy & KP played marvelous strokes and dug their team out but their lower order showed a lot of grit. Bolwers have done a decent job and now it's the batsmen's turn. AB & Viru are gonna play a massive role now. Come on!

In season one, I was the only experienced manager and got hold of Taylor, Masa, AB, Steyn and Chigumbura in the drafts. Later when I re-joined in s6, I had the same squad. I got Amla in the third round of the draft (seriously) and Vettori & Jarvis were traded. It's all about things falling into place, lol.

First off,epic presentation there by Gaurav...especially the write-up...loved reading the quotes.

That's a poor effort,it has to be said...Dale Steyn was always a threat and that son of a gun caused major damage again.

Please with the way Guptill and Pietersen stamped their authority but there were no contributions from the rest until Davies and Samit came to the rescue.

Tough to defend such a modest total but a couple of early wickets and you never know...go,kill them Morne!
