Post Line-ups Champions League XX - Round 1 - It's time to give the people what they need, not what they want...

The CL committee would be happy that three of the final four are NZ teams. However they would be tensed because the fourth team is Melbourne and last season Melbourne were the lone Aussie team in top four and they won.

Will an Asian Premier League team get entry to CL ?

Depends. If the locals are all asians mixed then no. If for a particular country, like Ind team has al l Ind players as locals, same for Pak, etc. then yes but, only if the team from that nation isn't there via the actual PL.

Champions League XI to be held in India - User2010
As we are waiting for OPL to conclude, I think this is the right time to announce other important details regarding the Champions League XI. This edition of Champions League will be held in India. Four major Indian venues Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata will be hosting the league matches with playoffs to be played at Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata while the finale at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The league will see each team playing all the other teams once before the playoffs are decided. There will be no warmup games. We will straightaway head into the main league.

Lineups should have a maximum of 4 foreign players. This applies to all teams except Miami Surfers. As their local players (including the associates) aren't much in number, they are allowed to play 5 foreign players. But, they must also have at least 2 US players playing in the XI. Indian pitches are expected to be batting beauties (i.e. pitch type will be excellent for all the matches) so, owners/managers must select their lineups accordingly.

Player clashes will be dealt with like they were last time. I'll let the managers know about the clashes when the lineups are to be posted. Lineups should be posted here in the thread as there isn't going to be any social group to do so.

Hmm excellent pitches for all games? You could have said that there would be no poor pitches, but this will be very difficult for the bowlers now.

Yeah, even I am not a fan of all games held on excellent pitches. If you hope you have tweaked the ratings accordingly.

They will give an Indian feel to the matches, I think. Of course, the ratings are done accordingly. As is in RL, bowlers do struggle in India. Will definitely favor the spinners though (hopefully, as you just can't be sure with CS :p).

Copy. I would recommend you to host the knock-out games on a normal pitch.

I would've considered different pitch-types for every game, but we'll definitely have an advantage having 8 spinners in our squad. :p
