Squads and Lineups
Since there are 8 teams, there are 2 groups follwed by double round robin where each team will play with other team twice.
Pitch types are in place, we have batsmen friendly, normal and bowler friendly wickets.
Teams must have maximum of 7
players and a maximum of 18 players squad. (Teams having more than 7
players are requested to adjust your squads with your local players).
No more than 4 overseas players should be allowed to be a part of any playing xi.
All non-local players in a franchise are considered as
players only.
Player Clashes
Some participating teams can have a certain player(s) which is contracted to another participating team.
To avoid conflict, a "Player Clashes" rule has been instated where:
- Any player that is a local to either of the teams will be automatically retained by them.
- If a single player is an overseas signing for both the teams then he will be made unavailable for the game.
- If more than one player(s) is an overseas signing for both the teams then they'll be allowed to play for either.
The player(s) will assigned via RANDOM.org
- For example: Let us assume two teams SRH and NSW, there are three player clashes, two locals for NSW (David Warner and Mitchell Starc) and one overseas who's not a local to either (Rashid Khan), then by virtue of the first rule both Warner and Starc will be available to NSW. But instead of keeping up with the second rule and benching Rashid because he's not a local to either teams, he'll go and play for SRH because they'll be short on players.
**These PLAYER CLASHES are not for the entire tournament. They are decided every match.
**Managers have 48 hours to make changes to their squads based on rule 3 in squads and lineups.
Deadline for squad adjustments is 1st November 10:00 AM IST.
November 2nd and 3rd for ratings, post that we can have warm up matches.
