Changing starting resolution

Is it possible to change the starting resolution cricket 05 starts in. I think it starts at 800 by 600. The res changes once my profile loads but when i quit the game my icons are all over the place

Firstly, see my thread on Resolution Limits and use lazy_chesnut 's application to change the resolution to whatever you like. Secondly, surely if your desktop icons are set to 'Auto arrange' then the icon mess shouldn't ever happen.

thanks for that i found with his application it doesn't change what i want. My res in game is fine just i want the loading screens to be the same.
I don't use auto arrange as i like keeping my icons in groups like games, editors etc

Isn't that what the Start Menu is for?

lol isn't that what the desktop is for. I don't know about you but i sure don't want to scroll through the start menu to find my game when i can just click the icon on the desktop

Change all the settings you want, then go to save and save your profile.

There you go, had same problem myself

Unfortunately (at least for me) you still have to sit through that "wonderful" EA sports intro' at 640x480 despite what res' your profile shows. A strain on the monitor (however slight) that shouldn't happen.

yep that is what's happening with me. Oh well as long as it works in the game i'm fine
