Talking of code of conduct and coming back to the original topic, did you guys read about Shah Rukh Khan not being allowed in the dugout of his team because he hadn't a valid pass?

I think these are the kind of issues that the BCCI will start looking into. The team owners aren't Gods, you know and they cannot violate the rules on a cricket ground no matter how much money they might make off it.

Money isn't everything in life.

What about the dignity of the game and the cricketers involved?

:laugh
If money has not been everything then nobody would have invented IPL.
Game has lost his dignity long ago when people were fighting to buy someone like Sachin.

The IPL should only have auctioned the foreign players, not the Indians.
About the code of conduct,i still feel that V Mallya was right in calling the shots.
Look at the Bangalore team. They don't even gel together like a unit.I mean, when you take a wicket, you should atleast celebrate.
I'm sure that Mallya wanted his team to show some spine which they did not.

This topic is not about team performance though that's a different issue.

It's about owners taking up responsibility and behaving responsibly for their teams and not blaming other factors and also showing some dignity in defeat. I haven't seen any public tantrums from the Deccan Chargers' owner even though they have also lost so many games.

By his outbursts, Mallya only managed to further demoralize the Bangalore team as was evident in the later matches.

To some extent, i feel it comes to the team performance and the cost of the team too. Vijay Mallya's team,as i mentioned earlier has'nt really fought in any of the matches. They havent even given the opposition a tough fight.
Deccan Chargers on the other hand lost 3 close games.

Secodnly, the team cost.Bangalore was purchased for a record amount whereas DCH was not purchased for so big an amount.
