hi i have a computer tunning windows 2000 and recently installed a new geforce4 card on it. however whenver i try to start playing a match on cricket 2002 the computer just keeps restarting . i dont know wat to do.
i have another computer at home with win xp and a riva tnt2 card n it works fine on that.
any idea y win2000 or geforce 4 are not compatible

It has been confirmed by EA that Geforce 4 is not compatible with the game.

Your problem is simple overheating

the Geforce 4 takes far more power and dissipates more heat and the PC will restart when the het gets too much.

Crappy programming is all there is to blame for this.

ea sports have confirmed geforce4 is not compatible with cricket 2002.
i run need for speed hot pursuit 2 and fifa 2003 on the computer for hourse together and never have a problem. its only with cricket
so heating is not an issue

I'm using geforce 4 ti 4600 & i so far i didn't face any problem while playing c2k2. I faced some graphics glitches in Win me but after upgrading the os to win xp the game runs smoothly as i like.
The restart may be due to an unreliable power supply or a low power smps.Try to get it changed.
