I watch games a lot in the background while I work.
I leave sliders on default, but turn up pitch friction and turn down ball bounce by 5 at the end of every day's play.
I don't think pitch deterioration works and I am not even sure all the sliders work. I think it is best to leave them on default to get the most variation in wickets, and have AI mentalities actually making a difference.
And to all those that unhelpfully say "why don't you watch a real game of cricket", well, why don't you all go and play a real game of cricket? We paid for the game, it's our choice what we do with it.
