It's quite funny, before this little series of warm up games people would have had all sorts of tips about who was going to perform. RP singh was in great form for india, symonds slugging for australia, tanvir refinding his IPL 1 form.

but the big scorers have been surprisingly obvious. Ponting for the aussies, KP for england, Smith for SA, Jayawardene for SL. All these guys were supposed to struggle a bit in twenty20, maybe not smith but he was tipped as being out of form. Sharma even out bowled RP.

there's been a couple of specialist performances like Watsons runs for australia, Taylor has kept his run for NZ going, though as one of the best NZ bats in any format it's not that surprising, same goes for Gayle, typically one of the top players that was identified as made for T20.

so does this throw some predictions out the water? maybe the favourites are the same as in every format, Australia, South Africa and India.

I wouldn't read too much into the Warm Up games.

Yea can't read too much from the warm ups. BTW who said Symonds would struggle?
Clarke has also surprised in both his warm up games with decent knocks.
