Most of the users including me would be pretty happy with the new dimension of C07 Download forum as a makeover was really required. Its good that staff taken required initiatives and now we have far more readable and organized forum.
Most of rules are acceptable and can be implemented easily. I have one doubt about SPAM rule.

Spam
Even though the above should remove most of the spam. We have seen members post "The kit is good but it needs a bit more colour" in multiple threads. This is considered spam and you will receive a General spam infraction if you do this.

Why this thing is leading to be considered as Spam ? A feedback required is as necessary as correct download to be released. If I am telling a member that kit color is not correct and will have to be reworked then its helping him to provide a download which will be useful to others.

Considering this as Spam will reduce constructive feedback.

We aren't saying you can't post that statement. But some members just say that in every kit thread even though the kit is perfect.

Just a thought since I reckon' it might come under this section, should we consider certain necro-posts as spam ?

To bring back an extremely old/outdated topic.

Usually it's with the newer members (Eg. How they find a good download topic (But it's old and hasn't been posted in for a long time) and commenting on how good they are). This might not apply just to the C07 Downloads Forum.

We usually delete those post unless it is constructive to the thread. If you find any of these that we miss, use the report button and we will deal with it.

There's no real problem in my view for bumping a thread, I prefer it over new threads on the same topic. If you are adding something worth while to a thread, it doesn't matter how old it is imo.

Yaa report system is good for such posts but now its getting less as thanks system is taking lead and many people use it for saying.
good work could be better. kit is awesome just move logo bit. basically people say that kit is not good but kit is fantastic that call spam that's what aussie1st said in this thread first post.

You're missing the point. The entire point of that rule is that constructive feed back is to be given. Saying "The color is not good change it please" is not constructive feed back. A constructive feed back goes like this :

"The color on the shirt is a bit on the dark greenish side, you might want to change it to something like light green."

Basically, we want to say that if you're commenting on some work put some effort into it, and don't use generalized statements which fit everywhere,

Hope this has cleared up stuff, if not I'll explain again.

The new C07 downloads forum is really looking now and organized. Also, I can see that the posting quality has really increased. Great work by staff.

Will this be implemented in the Ashes Cricket 2009 Downloads forum too?

More than likely, we did it to stop spam so would be a bit hypocritical to allow it in the Ashes Cricket 2009 Downloads forum.
